COFFEEHOUSE - March 19

guitarThe second Newman Coffeehouse is happening on March 19th at 7:00 in the Fr. O’Donnell Auditorium at St. Thomas More College! Get ready for an evening of great performers and delicious coffee and snacks for the low price of 5$ (4$ for Newman Centre Members).

If you are interested in performing, please let us know! We encourage everyone– from poetry readers to full-sized bands to, well, just about any performing art you can think of– to consider performing.

The first semester’s coffeehouse rocked, so don’t miss out on your last chance this year to attend a Newman Coffeehouse!

March events

We are continuing to have Thank God It’s Friday Prayer on Fridays at 3:30 in the Newman Office.  Everyone is welcome!

On March 5th, we are featuring Scattergories at our March Games Day.  We will have free popcorn, and will be selling pop and hot drinks by request.  All of our other games will be available, too.

Also, the new Newman Knitting group meets every Friday at 4:15 in the Newman office. New knitters always welcome in this knitting/crocheting/fiber arts and discussion group.

Newman Centre Skating Party

On February 28th from 2-4pm, we are hosting a skating party at the Meewasin skating rink downtown next to the Bessborough.  We are arranging carpooling and giving out free hot chocolate and snacks.  Let us know if you would like to come! Call 966-8906 or email newman@stmcollege.ca.

Flower Sale Feb 8-12

From February 8th through 12th, in the STM cafeteria, you can buy some lovely carnations or roses.

All proceeds from the sales go to SWITCH

Movie Night - December 2nd

Newman Centre and STM Campus Ministry are teaming up to bring you the Christmas classic It’s a Wonderful Life. We’ll watch the show at 7:00 PM on Wednesday December 2nd in the Murray Room Student Lounge, so join us. There is no admission charge and the popcorn is free!

Newman Coffeehouse is Back
