Education & Research Interests

Becky completed a BA (History) at U of S and an MA (Greek and Roman Studies) at University of Victoria before moving to London, UK to do her PhD in Classics at King's College London, where her doctoral thesis examined the rhetoric of asceticism in Jerome's letters to female proto-monastics. She has taught at KCL, University of Cambridge, University of Kent, and University of Saskatchewan. 

Becky is interested in late antique Rome, funerary culture, topography, ancient sexuality, and the intersection of early Christianity with other religious traditions.
