How did in medias res<\/em> begin?<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The magazine has been active since 1995, when students belonging to four different clubs in St. Thomas More College \u2014 the St. Thomas More Students\u2019 Union, the Newman Club, the Russian Club and the Ukrainian Club \u2014 came together with a common goal. According to the first issue, the title in medias res <\/em>was chosen because the publication was launched in the middle of a school year.\u00a0<\/p>

Our office is located in room 158 of St. Thomas More College at the University of Saskatchewan. We acknowledge we are on Treaty 6 Territory and the Homeland of the M\u00e9tis. We pay our respect to the First Nations and M\u00e9tis ancestors of this place and reaffirm our relationship with one another.<\/p>\n

As part of their mission statement, St. Thomas More College says that \u201cthe work of our college is not an end in itself, but must find application for the good of humanity.\u201d We ask all readers to consider how they benefit from settler institutions such as the university and how they can apply their learning not towards maintaining the status quo but instead towards change and meaningful reconciliation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
