We were interested to see how many different takes on love we could find among our submissions, and USask did not disappoint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Love is such an enduring theme because it can be felt in as many ways as there are people on this planet. Everyone\u2019s concept of love is something so personal, and it\u2019s an honour to get a glimpse of it in the pieces in this issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This issue is the second and last of the academic year 2020-21 \u2014 the last the current <em>in medias res <\/em>editorial board will put together. It has been a critical time for <em>in medias res<\/em>, and I am grateful to everyone who made it possible for us to grow under the difficult circumstances. Emma first became interested in painting while attending art classes with her grandfather, who is her inspiration. She wants to become a music therapist in order to use the arts to help people. <em>Evangeline<\/em> is a piece exploring her love of female power and embracing that strength for herself, inspired by the various female figures in her life.
