Congratulations to everyone involved in the Newman Sounds Glee Club Coffee House this past Saturday. Twenty-one students sang, danced, and played an amazing program of 16 contemporary and classic songs. Apart from three big numbers performed by the whole Glee Club, most songs were performed as solos or duos, with accompanying performances on piano, guitar, ukulele, and even a cappella. It was a hugely entertaining evening in the coffee house style and a testament to the hours of rehearsing that the students did to prepare for it.

Special thanks (and congratulations) to Kristen Raney (Artistic Director), who conducted the concert with her newborn baby strapped onto her (!); Ian Elliott (Accompanist); Danielle Hughes (Glee club Communications Coordinator and also an alto in the Glee Club), and Richard Medernach, who emceed the event with his usual flair. Thanks also to Stacy Stillwell for donating his time as a sound technician.
