My Heart’s Still Beating by Olivia Kerslake

Olivia is a third-year undergraduate student at USask majoring in linguistics. She is also the Visual Arts Editor at the in medias res team. Olivia has been painting and drawing in her free time since she was a child. Through art, she can unwind from the real world and lose herself in a piece. My Heart’s Still Beating reflects the feeling one gets after a breakup. You feel as if your heart has just exploded into a million little pieces. At the end of it all, your heart is still beating and you will move on to find love again.
