STM Faculty Council
Faculty Council is the principal academic governance body of the College. It functions to determine policy in academic matters, subject to such limits as established in the College Act, the College Bylaws, and the Collective Agreement. Faculty Council fosters the participation and engagement of its members in discussions of policies, plans, and decisions by the College administration that directly affect those areas for which it has responsibility. As well, Faculty Council initiates recommendations and decisions on academic matters.
The Council is comprised of tenured faculty, sessional representatives, and student representatives. The council usually meets once a month to decide on academic matters of the college.
