Prairie Ukrainian Film Festival (PUFF)

The Prairie Ukrainian Film Festival (PUFF) is held annually in cooperation with the Remai Modern, the Ukrainian Museum of Canada, and the Ukrainian Canadian Congress of Saskatchewan, and invites audiences to discover more about Ukraine’s vibrant spirit and culture, the diversity of its regions, and the multifaceted identities of the Ukrainian people. Ukraine’s national cinema is rich and distinctive, and our free festival aims to showcase the voices capturing the voices of Ukrainian storytellers as a means to understanding Ukraine and its people.

Eaton Internment Project

The Eaton Internment Historic Site Project was designed as a PCUH community outreach initiative. The objective of this project, which involved the local Ukrainian community and others, was to provide institutional support for the creation and establishment of a permanent memorial honoring the memory
of East European immigrants designated “enemy aliens,” who were interned as prisoners of war at the Eaton railway siding in Saskatchewan during the First World War.
