Dr. Richard Manley-Tannis is President of St. Andrew’s College and a Diaconal Minister in the United Church of Canada with pastoral experience in a multi-team environment. He has worked in organizational change and development in secular, not-for-profit, and faith-based contexts. He completed his PhD at Tilburg University in the Netherlands in 2020. His doctoral work explored the history of The United Church of Canada through relational construction. The focus of his research is on how lived experience informs/challenges academic discourse, and he feels that his work “would benefit not only the college, but also those students drawn to justice and critical thinking in these times of great change, possibility, and challenge.”
