STM College invites you to share a meal with us and listen to four very special guest presenters
Gordon Lobe, retired teacher, principal, & superintendent, and author of ‘And They Told Us’, ‘Bridges Over Fences’, ‘Making the Connection: Cree First Nations Kēhtē-ayak Thoughts on Education’.
Cree Canaries Indigenous Youth Drum Group, showcase resilience by carrying on the cultural teachings, protocol, songs, storytelling, and dances!
Mika Lafond, nêhiyaw from Muskeg Lake Cree Nation. She is a mother, teacher, and author.
Joseph Naytowhow, a gifted Plains/Woodland Cree (nehiyaw) singer/songwriter, storyteller, and voice, stage and film actor from the Sturgeon Lake First Nation Band
Light Supper, 5:30-6:30 pm
The sharing of food brings us together and makes the storytelling a place to connect. There will be Bannock, jam and other snacks to enjoy!
