All are welcome to gather in the chapel at St. Thomas More College, along with visiting students from Holy Cross High School, to take part in a smudge ceremony and hear STM’s Scholar in Indigenous Education, Harry Lafond, speak on the significance of the teepee as well as about the history, importance, and opportunities of the annual Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
