STM celebrates faculty publications

A trio of books and a raft of new publications by STM faculty were celebrated on April 1, 2019 at a reception in the Shannon Library.

STM's Dr. David McGrane spoke about Applied Political Theory and Canadian Politics, a book he edited with Neil Hibbert, Associate Professor in the Department of Political Studies at the University of Saskatchewan. McGrane authored one of the chapters in a book that spans a wide breadth of the current Canadian political landscape.

Dr. Michael Cichon next highlighted the journey of his book, Proverbia Septentrionalia - Essays on Proverbs in Medieval Scandinavian and English Literature, on the road to publication, and insight into the unique collection. Edited by Cichon and Yin Liu, the book will be out later this year.

Dr. Carl Still and Dr. Gertrude Rompre collaborated to edit Turning to the World - Social Justice and the Common Good since Vatican II. They chronicled the compilation and promotion of the collection of works originating from a conference held at the college, marking the 50th anniversary of Vatican II. The book also includes chapters by other STM faculty - Dr. Alisha Pomazon, Dr. Cynthia Wallace and Dr. Chris Hrynkow.

There were additiionally many publications to celebrate, reflecting a long list of accomplishments by STM faculty over the past year. The range of recent research papers and academic publications may be viewed in the 2019 publications flyer.
