STM GSCS Art Exhibition successful collaboration celebrating students

St. Thomas More College(STM) is very pleased to host our sixth grade 12 student art exhibition - a collaboration with the Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools (GSCS) - allowing us to share and celebrate with the campus community and beyond many creative works, and provide an introduction and welcome to our College to prospective students. This year, we had six high schools collaborate with 53 artists featured – our highest participation yet.  We encouraged the student artists to incorporate into their works one of STM’s Values – recognized to include human dignity, inclusive community, humility, respectful dialogue, service and justice, and truth. The exhibition - outside the Shannon library - has been extended to June 6. Please take some time to enjoy the works on display.


Sunday, May 25 STM held a reception for the participating students, teachers, families, and friends. There was a great turnout, with the event program and reception welcoming and recognizing both teachers and student artists from  Bishop James Mahoney(BJM), Bethlehem, ED Feehan, Holy Cross, Oskayak, and St. Joseph's High School, along with an invitation to consider STM's offerings and support if they attend USask next year.


Special thank you to STM's recruitment officer Michelle Gall, for her work planning and coordinating the event(over this past year), and STM's curator, Ann Donald for the art installation and event support.
